EXPLORE THE COLLECTION STORY
We know the manufacturing process has an impact on the environment – with each stage playing a key role – and we are working towards reducing ours.
We work with a longstanding and trusted global network of supply chain partners – chosen for their expertise. Their ability to source the finest materials, meet good labour standards and health and safety measures – supporting us to responsibly deliver the exceptional design and quality we're known for.
We share a commitment to produce our products with as little impact on the planet and on the people who make them. What's more, through continual improvement, our suppliers lead the way with manufacturing methods that reduce their environmental footprint and empower their employees through training programmes.
Our network of supply chain partners spans the globe, and we believe transparency is important. We’re proud to have mapped 100% of our first and second tier suppliers and we are committed to fully mapping our lower tiers, which we are well on the way with. This will give us greater visibility of the raw material cultivation and extraction tiers. To support this goal, we’ve invested in Segura Systems, a supply chain management solution, to enhance our mapping efforts and improve the quality of the data we collect.
We know that our supply chain consists of 64% women, with 43% in management roles. As a predominantly female-led business, female empowerment is a top priority for us. That's why we’ve partnered with organisations such as Homeworkers Worldwide to help us improve the working conditions of homeworkers, the majority of whom are women balancing paid work with domestic and family responsibilities. We also work with Quizrr, who have supported us to deliver digital training programmes to over 900 workers in our Chinese supply chain; this educates and empowers people on topics such as rights and responsibilities, migrant parenting, and wage management. It’s important that all workers have a voice and are able to access freely elected representation in the form of unions, worker committees and other effective means. 79% of our suppliers have one of these forms of worker representation that empowers teams to shape their working conditions.
We are committed to reducing the environmental footprint in our supply chain and partnering with suppliers who share our commitment is vital. 33% of our suppliers have invested in systems to measure and monitor their environmental footprints, enabling them to reduce and offset their impacts, including 8% who use renewable energy sources to power their production facilities.
