When you wear these shades together, you can't help but conjure pictures of golden sunflower fields and sparkling azure seas. For me, bright yellow and cobalt blue really epitomise summer. To heighten the feel-good factor, incorporate bold graphic prints, playful gingham and easy blazers that will turn home-time into a staycation.
This is such a joyful palette, it's impossible not to feel uplifted by it. If you're wary of wearing full-on colour, start small by introducing shoes or accessories in a statement shade. Alternatively, take a tonal approach and mix variations of the same colour together. It makes such an impact and exudes authority. Even if the tones don't match exactly, this will just add depth to the outfit.
There's something incredibly calming and satisfying about styling muted shades together – think camel, oatmeal and sand. You can also easily pair them with black and ivory, or if you want to give them a lift, throw in some flame red. For a nod to this season's 70s trend, look for belted waist details, micro prints and neck ties.
