You’ve made it through a few weeks of lockdown, we think that deserves celebrating! Ideal for virtual cocktail hour or date night indoors, these easy-to-mix cocktails are the perfect summer refreshment. No champagne in the house? Don't worry, you can use any fizz – prosecco, sparkling wine or Crémant will work just as well.
FRENCH SPRITZ
The chicest thing since Aperol Spritz, this effortless cocktail requires only three ingredients: elderflower cordial or liqueur, prosecco and soda water. A key component of French aperitif culture, it's best enjoyed over small plates as the sun sets after a long day in the (home) office.
RASPBERRY PROSECCO BELLINI
Striking the perfect balance between sweet and crisp, this refreshing cocktail is ideal for virtual get-togethers with friends. Simply pour one part raspberry liqueur into a champagne flute, add a sprig of fresh basil, then top with four parts prosecco, and enjoy.
NEGRONI SBAGLIATO
The "sbagliato" - which means "mistaken" - originated when a bartender in Bar Basso, Milan, mistakenly added prosecco instead of gin to a negroni, resulting in this deliciously happy accident. To make yours, add one part Campari and one part Red Vermouth to one part prosecco; garnish with a slice of orange.
