CLASSIC LEMONADE RECIPE

Sweet, tart and totally refreshing; lemonade is the quintessential taste of summer. Super quick and easy to make, this homemade recipe is the perfect accompaniment to barbeques and garden parties.

INGREDIENTS

4 unwaxed lemons, thinly sliced
1.5 litres water
140g sugar

METHOD

1.

Place the lemon slices into a heatproof jug.
2.

Pour over the boiling water and stir in the sugar.
3.

Leave the mixture to chill.
4.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

GIVE IT A TWIST

Turn it pink with fresh strawberries or add crushed basil leaves, elderflower liqueur and gin for a deliciously boozy twist.

METHOD

1.

Place the lemon slices into a heatproof jug.
2.

3.

Leave the mixture to chill.
4.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
